“Culture isn’t created in boardrooms. It starts in the streets, the studios, and the spaces we share.

Introduction:

If you’ve been watching from a distance, you might think The Creative Industry Collective is just another event series. But in reality, it’s something deeper — a movement, a mindset, and a response to a creative industry that’s long needed a refresh.

It all began on a Thursday night in Fort Myers — the night Kuna Kulture was born.

1. The Idea Behind CIC

The Creative Industry Collective (CIC) was launched by JLG Media with a simple but powerful mission:

To create intentional spaces where creators, entrepreneurs, and artists could collaborate, connect, and express — without clout, gatekeeping, or fluff.

From branding to nightlife, strategy to storytelling — CIC is where those worlds collide. We wanted to create something that didn’t just look good, but felt real.

2. Enter Kuna Kulture — A First of Its Kind

Kuna Kulture marked the first official CIC-curated event — hosted at Bay Street Yard in Downtown Fort Myers.

There were no velvet ropes.

No fake hype.

Just curated sound, crafted cocktails, and good energy.

The lineup included:

  • 🎧 DJ Vani, DJ E3, DJ Tanke and DJ Greg Gibbs on the decks

  • 🍸 Custom espresso martini sampling by Xtini

  • 📸 Candid captures, intimate energy, and a vibe that doubled venue sales

📊 Venue sales doubled compared to previous Thursdays. Xtini gained exposure and lead capture. JLG Media captured content ROI.

Even with a few bumps — a laptop crash mid-set and some energy shifts — the night held strong. We built a room that felt like it belonged to everyone in it.

3. Why It Mattered (And Still Does)

This wasn’t just another night out. It was the start of a deeper play:

  • A space for creatives to be seen and celebrated.

  • A test for what curated nightlife could look like when it had soul.

  • Proof that real moments still matter.

Kuna Kulture laid the foundation for what CIC will continue to build:

Poetry nights, collaborative pop-ups, branded culture drops, and deeper connection across Southwest Florida’s creative scene.

4. Lessons from the Night

Like any pilot event, Kuna Kulture came with its lessons:

Curate your energy.

A great DJ doesn’t just play music — they control momentum.

Align your partners.

Xtini’s on-site presence didn’t just add value — it fit the vibe.

Don’t chase scale — chase resonance.

It’s not about 500 people. It’s about the right 50.

Always have tech backups.

Lesson learned. We’ll never run a set without a contingency plan again.

5. Where We Go From Here

The Collective moves forward with Written in Heat— a seductive poetry experience designed to bring lovers, artists, and emotionally intelligent souls under one roof.

We’re also exploring a Gentlemen's Brunch, creative networking dinners, brand workshops, and curated community events that blend culture, conversation, and collaboration.

And this is just the beginning.
